So it’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Jessica Spotswood‘s series, The Cahill Witch Chronicles. The second book in the series, Star Cursed, is coming out this June, and the paperback of the first book, Born Wicked, came out last week!
In celebration, I’m giving away two signed copies of Born Wicked — one in hardcover and one in paperback. They both have awesome covers, but they’re so different! So I figured I’d give out one of each and make you choose. To enter, just leave a comment below and let me know whether you want the hardcover or the paperback! U.S. entrants only, please.
Both copies are signed by the awesome Jessica Spotswood herself!
Here’s the Born Wicked summary, for the uninitiated:
Everybody knows Cate Cahill and her sisters are eccentric. Too pretty, too reclusive, and far too educated for their own good. But the truth is even worse: they’re witches. And if their secret is discovered by the priests of the Brotherhood, it would mean an asylum, a prison ship—or an early grave.
Before her mother died, Cate promised to protect her sisters. But with only six months left to choose between marriage and the Sisterhood, she might not be able to keep her word…especially after she finds her mother’s diary, uncovering a secret that could spell her family’s destruction. Desperate to find alternatives to their fate, Cate starts scouring banned books and questioning rebellious new friends, all while juggling tea parties, shocking marriage proposals, and a forbidden romance with the completely unsuitable Finn Belastra.
If what her mother wrote is true, the Cahill girls aren’t safe. Not from the Brotherhood, the Sisterhood—not even from each other.
To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment below and let me know whether you’d rather get the paperback or the hardcover! Both copies are signed by author Jessica Spotswood!
The contest will be open through midnight Eastern on Thursday, January 17.
Update: The contest is now over! Thanks to everyone who entered. Winners will be notified by email!

Thanks for the chance to win, Robin!
I love the hardcover – the rich colors really lend to that wicked feel in my opinion.

I love both covers, but I think I love the hardback cover just a little more, so that’s the one I’d like to win.
Thanks for the giveaway!

Paperback! I want it to match the rest of the series. Though, I wish they’d do the new cover in hardback. I’ve seen them do that a few times. I can’t wait to read this. I feel bad I haven’t.

Both covers are intriguing and beautiful, but I’m going with the paperback. I like the mysteriousness of the girl on the cover – I want to know what she’s thinking! I would love any book written and signed by the wonderful Jessica Spotswood, though. Thanks for the contest, Robin!

This is so awesome, thanks for the chance! I absolutely LOVE the hardback’s cover. L.O.V.E. I think the paperback version is nice, though, and I’d probably like it even more if I hadn’t already fallen in love with the original
I absolutely loved this book – way more than I had expected to, actually! – and I think Jessica is just SUCH a sweet person in addition to being a spectacular writer! I would LOVE to have a hardback copy of Born Wicked with Jessica’s signature. THANKS!

The paperback is so pretty. If I win, I’d like that one. Thank you so much for the giveaway.

Although I like both covers, the colors of the paperback really draw my eye, so I’ve gotta go with paperback. Plus, I’m weird and like things to match and the paperback will match the next book… Thanks for the giveaway!

I really like the hardcover one. The colors appeal to more than the ones on the paperback. I think both covers are good, especially the paperback since it will match the rest of the series, but the hardcover draws me in.

I personally would like the hardcover I like the cover better. Thanks for the giveaway.

I LOVE both covers but since Star Crossed will be in hardback (and I want to have the books all in the same format) I’ll want the hardcover one.

I’m not quite digging the paperback cover, so I’d say hardcover :]
